A Real Central Florida Wedding: Skylar & David at the Whitewood Ranch

Some wedding days are beautiful because of the details. Others are beautiful because of the people. Skylar and David's wedding day was both.
Their story began at church—a place that has introduced countless couples over the years. Although they had attended the same church for quite some time, it wasn't until David intentionally pursued Skylar that their relationship truly began. From the start, their relationship was centered on faith, friendship, and a genuine love for one another.

Having the opportunity to document their wedding day was especially meaningful for me because this wasn't the first chapter of their story I've had the privilege of capturing. A few years ago, I photographed Skylar's graduation portraits. Since then, I've documented their proposal, engagement session, and now their wedding day. Walking alongside clients through so many milestones is one of my favorite parts of being a photographer, and watching these two step into marriage was incredibly special.
From the moment I arrived at Whitewood Ranch, it was clear that every detail had been thoughtfully planned. Skylar and David envisioned a wedding day filled with timeless elegance, heartfelt moments, and a sense of understated luxury. Their black, white, and gold color palette created a clean and classic aesthetic, while touches of greenery throughout the florals added warmth and life to the space.

More than anything, they wanted their wedding to reflect their love for each other and for the Lord. The entire day felt deeply personal—from the emotional moments shared with family and friends to the joy that filled the dance floor later that evening. The celebration flowed seamlessly from a bright, natural-light ceremony into a romantic candlelit reception, creating the perfect balance of sophistication and intimacy.

One of the things I admire most about Skylar and David is the trust they placed in me throughout every season of their journey. Being invited to document so many milestones leading up to this day was an honor, and seeing everything come together at Whitewood Ranch was nothing short of beautiful.
